- A twin-engine Cessna piloted by a Tesla manager crashed into an East Palo neighborhood, authorities said. For myself, I think uninformed people making blanket statements about something they know nothing about it far more dangerous than flying on a foggy day. Lest wait till the NTSB sorts this out before we start saying whats safe and whats not. Flying under instrument flight rules allows a pilot to fly safely in low visibility. The FAA would beg to differ with that statement. Foggy conditions are inappropriate to fly in. Commercial pilots are individuals too. Being an "individual pilot" is not mutually exclusive with being a commercial pilot. This pilot was a commercial pilot.
