Tesla Motors employees were killed in today's Palo Alto plane crash, BusinessWeek has confirmed. The Federal Aviation Administration has yet to identify the three victims involved in the crash. It was announced today that Musk was awarded the 2010 Automotive Executive of the Year Innovator Award. Jalopnik is reporting that all three people killed in the crash may have been Tesla executives. Ian Gregor, a spokesman for the Federal Aviation Administration, said the plane was a twin-engine Cessna 310 that had taken off from Palo Alto Airport, about a mile to the southwest, and was bound for Hawthorne Municipal Airport in Los Angeles County Tesla plane crash.
